Episode 06 – Apollo Lyra – E. L. Schmidt, 1831

Invented in Germany in 1831 by Ernst Leopold Schmidt with the idea of improving the Psallmelodikon. Although many versions of this instrument have been traced, only one is known to date in the Metropolitan Museum of Art Collections (New-York).
